Extra Curricular Activities

SPSP Photo Club

The SPSP Photo Club is a great extracurricular activity. Many of our learners /Trainees like to take pictures with a photography camera or using their Smartphone’s cameras.

Before uploading their photos to the site, they must write a short comment/ statement about it.

By doing so, they combine their artistic skill with their writing skill.

There are many categories in which the trainees will compete for the best photo & Comment of the week. Just to name a few: Nature, My city, My home, A day at SPSP, Safety matters, sports, and Technology.

The best photos, once selected through an open survey, would be printed in a large size and exposed during an announced and organized exhibition at SPSP.

Among these photos, one would be selected for posting in the SPSP hall of fame, with the trainee’s name, cohort, and year.

SPSP Extra-Curricular activities

SPSP offers all students a range of out-of-class extra-curricular activities as part of a package of training aimed at preparing students for work and for life in general. Currently the following activities and clubs are offered to SPSP students:

SPSP has a full-time Sports Coordinator and in conjunction with Al Etifaq Sports Club, SPSP offers football coaching and training four evenings a week. Students are encouraged to form football teams and to compete in an annual competition for the SPSP Managing Director’s Cup.

SPSP is currently in the process of starting up an SPSP Swimming Club in conjunction with the Saudi Arabian Swimming Federation at Aquatic City Rakka, to allow SPSP students to learn to swim and to participate in life-saving activities. Stronger swimmers will be encouraged to train regularly and to enter appropriate competitions where available.

Fishing Club

SPSP offers students an out-of-hours Fishing Club where students are supplied with fishing rods and fishing equipment and taught to fish. Fishing Club activities are usually held on Friday mornings at Dammam or Al Khobar Corniche.

Physical Fitness

SPSP will shortly begin construction of a purpose-built Physical Fitness Centre with capacity for up to 50 users to train and to develop physical fitness within a top-quality gym equipped with a wide range of exercise machines. The Fitness Centre, located at SPSP Campus will be equipped with changing rooms, lockers, showers, and will be staffed by a full-time fitness coach.

Speak-Up Club

SPSP offers all students the opportunity to develop presentational and public-speaking skills through its Speak-Up Club.
