SPSP offers a comprehensive range of customized and advanced training programs to support the training and development requirements of potential and existing company employees. SPSP have invested heavily in the most modern and up-to-date training and simulation equipment to ensure we meet the demands of the oil and gas industry in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The SPSP approach puts students at the center of the learning process with our teaching and learning methodology centered around Task Based Learning and Competency Based Learning. At SPSP the Learning is led by the students while instructors act as facilitators. In every learning activity in every classroom or workshop, our focus is always on Student Centered Learning.

SPSP prepares students for job entry, where self-reliance and independence are highly valued job skills. At SPSP we strongly encourage our students to become more independent learners, not dependent upon instructors all the time. SPSP has a fully equipped Independent Learning Center where students can self-study and work alone using online learning activities and self-access opportunities.

One of SPSP’s principal strategies is the adoption of English language as the medium of instruction in the training center. SPSP students are provided with English, Mathematics and Health and Safety before entering the technical phase of training.

Academic Program Outline

The SPSP Academic Program focuses on the delivery of English Language within a Technical Context and the curriculum is built around a series of published texts, including Tech Talk and the Technical English series.

Electrical Program Outline

The SPSP Electrical Program leads to certificates internationally accredited by PAA/VQ-SET, City & Guilds and ACCET. The program is designed to provide students with a balanced combination of engineering theory and practical hands-on experience. This will ensure that on completion of the Electrical Program graduates will have the required job entry skills to work within the Petroleum Services industries. Each student will complete the Academic and PEO foundation training prior to covering the Electrical Program.

Mechanical Program Outline

The SPSP Mechanical Program leads to certificates internationally accredited by PAA/VQ-SET, City & Guilds and ACCET. The program is designed to provide students with a balanced combination of engineering theory and practical hands-on experience. This will ensure that on completion of the Mechanical Program graduates will have the required job entry skills to work within the Petroleum Services industries. Each student will complete the Academic and PEO foundation training prior to covering the Mechanical Program.

Welding Program Outline

The SPSP Welding Program leads to certificates internationally accredited by PAA/VQ-SET, City & Guilds and ACCET. The program is designed to provide students with a balanced combination of engineering theory and practical hands-on experience. This will ensure that on completion of the Welding Program graduates will have the required job entry skills to work within the Petroleum Services industries. Each student will complete the Academic and PEO foundation training prior to covering the Welding Program.

The program is designed to provide students with a balanced combination of engineering theory and practical hands-on experience. This will ensure that on completion of the Pipefitting Program graduates will have the required job entry skills to work within the Petroleum Services industries. Each student will complete the Academic and PEO foundation training prior to covering the Pipefitting Program.

Operations Program Outline

The program is designed to provide students with a balanced combination of engineering theory and practical hands-on experience. This will ensure that on completion of the Operations Program graduates will have the required job entry skills to work within the Petroleum Services industries. Each student will complete the Academic and PPO foundation training prior to covering the Operations Program.

HVAC Program Outline

The SPSP Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Program leads to certificates internationally accredited by PAA/VQ-SET. The program is designed to provide students with a balanced combination of engineering theory and practical hands-on experience. This will ensure that on completion of the HVAC Program graduates will have the required job entry skills to work within the Petroleum Services industries. Each student will complete the Academic and PEO foundation training prior to covering the HVAC Program.

PCST Program Outline

The SPSP Process Control Systems Technician Program leads to certificates accredited by ACCET. The program is designed to provide students with a balanced combination of engineering theory and practical hands-on experience. This will ensure that on completion of the PCST Program graduates will have the required job entry skills to work within the Petroleum Services industries. Each student will complete the Academic and key skills training prior to covering the PCST Program.

Drilling Program Outline

The SPSP Drilling Program leads to certificates internationally accredited by IADC and ACCET. The program is designed to provide students with a balanced combination of engineering theory and practical hands-on experience. This will ensure that on completion of the Drilling Program graduates will have the required job entry skills to work within the Petroleum Services industries. Each student will complete the Academic and Phase 1 foundation training prior to covering the Drilling Program.

Rigging Program Outline

The SPSP Rigging Program leads to certificates internationally accredited by LEEA and ACCET. The program is designed to provide students with a balanced combination of engineering theory and practical hands-on experience. This will ensure that on completion of the Rigging Program graduates will have the required job entry skills to work within the Petroleum Services industries. Each student will complete the Academic and Basic Hand tools and Drawing foundation training prior to covering the Rigging Program.

Scaffolding Program Outline

The SPSP Scaffolding Program leads to certificates internationally accredited by CITB and ACCET. The program is designed to provide students with a balanced combination of engineering theory and practical hands-on experience. This will ensure that on completion of the Scaffolding Program graduates will have the required job entry skills to work within the Petroleum Services industries. Each student will complete the Academic and Basic Hand tools and Drawing foundation training prior to covering the Scaffolding Program.

Crane Operation and Heavy Lifting Program Outline

The SPSP Crane Operation and Heavy Lifting Program leads to certificates internationally accredited by LEEA and ACCET. The program is designed to provide students with a balanced combination of engineering theory and practical hands-on experience. This will ensure that on completion of the Crane Operation and Heavy Lifting Program graduates will have the required job entry skills to work within the Petroleum Services industries. Each student will complete the Academic and Basic Hand tools and Drawing foundation training prior to covering the Crane Operation and Heavy Lifting Program.

National Vocational Qualification

NVQs are work-related, competence-based qualifications developed by representatives from industry, commerce and education, and approved by the UK’sThe Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual). NVQs reflect the skills and knowledge needed to do a job effectively, and show that a candidate is competent in the area of work the NVQ represents.

IADC Certificate in Drilling Services

The International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC) has represented the worldwide Oil and Gas Industry since 1943. The IADC is a professional organisation committed to promoting commitment to safety, preservation of the environment and advances in drilling technology. These provisions include the development of training seminars and technical publications to promote education within the upstream petroleum industry.

City and Guilds Level 3 Diploma programs

City & Guilds is the UK's leading and largest vocational qualifications Awarding Organization and is well known world-wide, particularly in technical qualifications, and has been awarding qualifications for over 100 years. SPSP is an approved City & Guilds Vocational Training Centre and trains students up to IVQ (International Vocational Qualifications) Level 3.
