In the presence and patronage of the Governor of the Eastern Province, HRH Prince Saud bin Nayef Al-Saud, and the presence of the Minister of Energy, HRH Abdulaziz bin Salman Al-Saud, SPSP celebrated its 11th graduation ceremony. The ceremony took place on the 16th of May 2022 at the Green Arena in Dammam Sports City. SPSP has graduated a total of 1,400 trainees sponsored by 32 energy companies from the training ending with employment diploma program, who will be joining the local workforce increasing employment rates in Saudi Arabia.
HRH Prince Saud bin Nayef Al-Saud praised the role that SPSP is playing to qualify Saudi youth in required technical specializations in the labor market to contribute in building their country and achieving the aspirations of the leadership.
HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman Al-Saud emphasized that this graduation ceremony is a product of what the institute’s trainees, management, academic and technical team have done in an inspiring educational environment that prepares them for a distinguished launch in their coming professional life and on their path towards success.
The ceremony included a few signing training agreements for future intakes with International Maritime Industries (IMI), Al-Rushaid Group, Arabian Fal Company, and Hyundai. Which was followed by the signing of MOUs which was followed by recognitions of SPSP former Board Chairman H.E. Abdulrahman Abdulkareem, and former board member and Vice President of Drilling and Workover at Saudi Aramco Abdulhameed Al-Rushaid, for their support in establishing SPSP and creating job opportunities within the energy sector.
SPSP is a fully independent non-profit entity, that was established in 2008 with a mission of supporting the Saudization process in preparing a highly qualified Saudi technical workforce that will serve the needs of the Energy sector.
SPSP has been a model in providing the highest standards of industrial/technical training since its inception, as well as the pace setter for newly established training institutes that follow SPSP’s training model. SPSP has also surpassed the global level with a total of 14 international accreditations.
SPSP’s mission is to provide the energy/ petroleum services industry with well trained and competent young Saudis, thereby reducing service companies’ reliance on an expatriate workforce. This would also have the knock-on and well-trained effect of developing and enhancing community and social growth programs and providing guaranteed jobs for young Saudis within the kingdom and GCC countries.
SPSP is proud to have introduced more than 10,000 graduates to the job market since its inception back in 2008 enriching the energy sector with a well-equipped technical workforce and supporting vision 2030 by increasing local content and contributing to Saudization.
